About the Artist
Born 1994 in Lillooet, B.C, Breanna Podlasly is a Canadian, aboriginal artist from Cook's Ferry Indian Band. She specializes in wildlife realism from around the world, using soft chalk pastels. She grew up on Sointula (aka Malcolm Island), a small fishing village off the North-East coast of Vancouver Island. Now residing in Port Hardy, B.C, she is a full-time professional artist.
Breanna has been using pastels since April of 2016.
Using soft chalk pastels and pastel pencils combined, she is able to richly capture her subjects colors, movement and life in her paintings, focusing on a realism approach for her creations.
Breanna Podlasly is an International Award Winning Willdife artist living on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.
Breanna is a mother to two children and when she is not in her studio creating art, she can be found exploring with her children and husband, in the woods and beaches of British Columbia.
